So i have seen a lot of the microwaved cakes on some of the blogs i follow and on instagram so i decided to give it a try...with pumpkin
Pumpkin Protein "Cake" Mug:
1 scoop Vanilla Protein
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp baking soda
few drops of Vanilla Liquid Stevia (or sweetner of choice)
1 flax egg (1 tbsp flax meal & 3 tbsp water) or egg white
cooking spray
1. spray dish
2. let flax egg sit for few minutes then add rest of ingredients in seperate bowl. stir well
3. pour mixture into sprayed dish. microwave 230-3 mins.
well i used a small ramekin, so it made a mess in my microwave. I was really moist and yummy! i had 1/2 cup cottage cheese with 2 tbsp of Peanut Flour and an apple to accompany it.
Give it a try!
What is your "cake" mug recipe???

Work outs and new combo
So on LivFit (last week in Phase 2) I've been trying to mix up my cardio sessions after my weights and not just do running which I'm normally drawn to. One time I got on the Ski machine and changed it up; I cranked up the incline to where my knees where comin way up high to my chest (its like doing high knees with weights!). So to add to that I learned a high knees drill on Insanity that I incorporated into this-have arms up in a punching stance and once a knee comes up cross the opposite arm to the outside of that knee and keep your core tight! This is an awesome combo workout of weights, cardio, and abs!
Totally random but I'm like the "Black" workout girl at my gym. I always wear all black from my headbands to my shoes! (There is a total hotty that matches me, he is fine and i check him out all the time!)

See Black Black Black. When i wear blue shirts i get asked if im a trainer because that what color our
trainers wear there.
On Mothers Day I wanted to get my workout done early, so I ate something a little light, changed, packed down my hydration pack and ran to my local park. I designed some new harder circuits which was awesome. I incorporated moves on the the bark so i packed some heavy duty gloves to wear which benefited all my bar moves. I rock climbed, chin ups, pull ups, hanging ab crunches, unside down hanging ab crunches, bear crawl, crab walk, inchworm, TRX moves using swings, squats, box/step jumps, running....loads more. I was there an hour, repacked my pack and ran about 2 miles home. I had a Wheat grass Berry Chocolate Protein Smoothie when i got home.
So my new combo!!! Made half at home and finished my bowl concoction at work. I added vanilla yogurt, chia seeds, flax meal, almond meal, raw oats, strawberries, chopped hard boiled egg whites, and chopped fresh spinach. So good and it has every nutrient/food group! (You cant even taste the eggs or spinach)
Anyone have any random concoctions they'd like to share???
Or anyone on LivFit that has any questions or comments???
Im a Winner and some new items
So last week I got a package in the mail that I've been waiting for for like weeks! A couple weeks ago i entered a giveaway from Laura's blog and a week late i find out i won! And what exactly was my amazing prize?:?:

NuNaturals all Liquid flavored Stevia!
I thought i was just getting the new flavors, Orange and Lemon, but i got Vanilla as well! They sent me a lot of info about their products and some recipes. Liquid Stevia is 0 calories, all natural, no artificial sweeteners or MSG or any other added crap. Want to try? Check them out!
So i haven't experimented too much with them yet. I use the Vanilla all the time in my Vanilla sleepy time tea, I've added it to my coffee, and in my cottage cheese. I have used both the lemon and orange in a few different teas. I was thinking about try the orange in my morning oats, maybe orange cocoa egg white oats???
So i also had other products on my mind especially one that i got from Kasey and that would be Peanut Flour! Hmm whats that? Well its the dry powder of peanuts after the oil is extracted. Peanuts are 25% protein and peanut flour is 50% because the fatty oil is removed and the healthy benefit level are enriched. You can add it to smoothies, yogurt, baked goods, protein pancakes, oatmeal etc, or make your own peanut butter by just adding enough water to make it into a paste (i spread my on WW toast or have with an apple as my meal 6). For 1 serving size (1/4 cup) it is 110 calories, 16 g protein, 2g sugar,8g carbs, 4g fiber. I got mine from iherb for $11.04 for 32oz.
Another product I've had on my mind is Wheat grass; i used to get wheat grass shots at Jamba Juice after the gym back in the day and ive always wanted to grow my own, Ive settled on Wheat grass Powder. I ordered Amazing Grass, Organic WGP for $12 (on sale at the time) for 8.5oz on iherb. I didn't want a big one since i wasn't sure how'd I'd like it. First time i tried it, i mixed it with straight water because the reviews said the taste was so good by itself. Idk what those people eat normally but it was gnarly nasty! I literally plugged my nose and chugged it because i was not going to waste it. The next time i tried it in a Chocolate Protein Berry Smoothie and it was much better and today i had it in a chocolate protein banana green tea leaves shake made with coconut chia tea and it was pretty tasty (i wanted a bunch of flavors to try and rid the WG flavor).
Since i order my Chocolate Sunwarrior Protein from iherb and then all this, they decided to send my a coupon code for myself and to share with my followers! So here is the $5 off iHerb coupon code YUZ158 for new customers. Enjoy and take advantage!
What do you get from iHerb???
Any recipes to try with Stevia???

No Makeup May
Since im out of school and its summer, ive taken on this whole "No Makeup May" thing. I love it; no worries for gym or scrubbing off at night!
So today i decided to not go to the gym since i work everyday till Sat and ill be goin to the gym beforehand. I packed down my hydration pack to run with and headed for my local playground. Once i got there, i basically came up with circuits using the bars, swings, stairs etc. I incorporated pull ups, inchworms, squats, hanging ab crunches, push ups, upsidedown push ups, bear crawl, double/single leg jumps up and down stairs and much more. I left my house at 820 in the morning and it was already hot so i eventually had to take off my shirt and get a tan while i drenched myself in sweat. I was there for about an hour; who knew "playing" on the playground could be so much fun and take the time away?
When i got home, i just felt like making some things in the kitchen like:
*More Almond Milk
*Chia Jam (inspired by Powercakes )
1 1/2 cup strawberries
1/4 cup chia seeds
Microwave berries for 2mins, blend, add chia seeds, refridgerate overnight.
Ill be having this jam tomorrow either on my egg white oats or protein pancakes....???
*Made juice with NO juicer!
1 orange
1/2 cup carrots
ice and little bit of water
Blend, strain in cheesecloth, refridgerate. (i poured mine in a frosted glass)

Breakfast and Cardio
Well considering my internet has been down for 2 days i havent been able to to keep up on here so here is a few of my breakfasts lately:
PB Banana Egg White Pumpkin Oatmeal
Vanilla Yogurt, Hard Boiled Egg Whites, Chia Seeds, Flax Meal, Unsweetened Coconut Flakes, Strawberries
Vanilla Protein, Unsweetened Coconut Flakes, Spinach, Strawberry Oatmeal
Cinnamon, Mixed Berry, PB Oatmeal
Yes indeed my eats are random and I LOVE breakfast!
So lately Ive gotten many questions about what do do first: Cardio or Weights? WEIGHTS!!!
1. You want to have all your energy when lifting weights because then you are using all your power and blasting through your workout allowing you to build muscles. When your fatigued, you half a$$ your lifting and its a poor workout.
2. When you done lifting (if you push and kill yourself hard enough) you are in the "fat burning zone" by the time you reach your cardio session and hello thats what we all want-more muscles and less fat!
You may be tired by the time the end of your weight portion but get on your machine (treadmill, bike, ellipical, row, ski etc) and push yourself because that is how you change and see results. OR you could split your workouts-come back to your cardio later in the day. I like to get it done all at once because sometimes i go back to the gym for round 2!

New creations
So last night I prepped my overnight oats in my crunchy peanut butter jar (with a little still remaining) and this morning this is what i got:
yes indeed i enjoyed my Cocoa oats while watching 90210! They were so good! Cant you tell the jar didnt have an oat left in there.
Cocoa Banana Overnight Oats:
1/2 cup oats
1 tbsp chunky peanut butter (any nut butter works)
1/2 water
1/4 cup unsweetened homemade almond milk ( yesterdays post )
1/2 banana (mashed)
1 1/2 tbsp dark cocoa powder
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 scoop chocolate protein powder
splash of vanilla extract
Mix all together really good. Fridge. Enjoy in morning!
So it was Day 43 on LivFit which was Arm, Abs, and Cardio. I went through the moves twice and finished with 30 mins on stationary bike. I had my post-workout shake already made. Blended green tea, green tea leaves, ice, Sunwarrior Chocolate Protein, and 1/2 banana (remaining from breakfast); pretty such downed it in 2 mins.
After running some errands, when I got home I was hungry and wanted something fast:
Pumpkin Egg Whites:
1/4 cup canned pumpkin
2 eggwhites
1/2 cup Skim Ricotta Cheese
sprinkle of ground flax
2 tbsp toasted unsweetened coconut
1 tbsp homemade almond butter ( yesterdays post )
Put pumpkin in pan to heat, add both egg whites and whip together with whisk. Remove from heat to cool. I toasted coconut while it cooled. Pour in bowl, add ricotta and roughly stir. Sprinkle with flaz, coconut, and almond butter. I also had the last piece of my homemade whole wheat banana bread toasted.
Have any good recipes you've made with pumpkin you'd like to share? Or overnight oats?

Recipes!
So yesterday was a awesome day in the gym. I took a complete rest day on Saturday and an active rest day on Sunday (my accident) and i came back into the gym recharged! It was my leg day and i went up 15lbs on all my moves. I busted out my LivFit routine x2 and came back to the gym later to just do circuits and abs.
For dinner i made my family Tuna Cakes-which were bomb!
Tuna Cakes:
2 cans Albacore (or any tuna-rinsed and drained)
3 egg whites
1/2 oats
1/4 cup dried onion
pepper
garlic and pepper seasoning (or any)
Mix, Form, Grill!
So on with today! Went to the gym this morning, did LivFit shoulder day x2 followed by HIIT sprints (quickly saw 2 miles in 16mins on treadmill) then TRIED some ab moves. Man it was almost my first time crying in the gym. My ribs are so soar from my accident; i cant exactly crunch so i had to plank it out. But came home to my stationary bike and rode while posting this!
I have been saving almonds from my Dads trial mix bag for a little while to make almond butter so today it was finally made:
So i wiped off most of the salt from the almonds and threw them into my Ninga. (Also you have to use a tall blender and not the short one because the short one's blade just pushes it all to the sides and will never come together). I scrapped the sides down every so often and eventually after about 6min it was creamy. 100% whole almonds and NO oil!
I of course had to try it out so i topped it on my egg white, ricotta cheese, chia seed, flax meal, coconut flake mixture:
Voila! I didnt exactly have an empty jar sittin around so i stored in tupperware. I guess i was on an Almond kick cause i soaked almonds last night to make almond milk today. Blended my 1 cup soaked almonds with 2 cups fresh water. Whirled it for about 3mins, strained in cheesecloth, wrung out the extra juice, and popped in fridge. I also used the almond meal left in the cheesecloth and baked it till toasted and crunchy (perfect for yogurt or smoothies or oatmeal).
Anyone make their own Nut Butter or Almond Milk???
