Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bars

So or been checking out a few different protein be recipes so I decided to revise a few and create my own using ingredients I have.
PB Choc Protein Bars:
3 egg whites
1/2 cup *homemade applesauce
6 packets NuNaturals Stevia
3 drops Vanilla NuNaturals Stevia
2 scoops chocolate protein powder
10 tbsp peanut flour
(any spices you want)
*to make applesauce, cut up apple, put in microwave with cinnamon and some water and cook for 2 mins. Let cool and blend, voila 100% natural no sugar added applesauce!
1. Mix wet, add dry, mid well.
2. Line with parchment (or grease) either a dish or you could make them into muffins.
3. Pour in.
4. Cook 15mins at 350 F.
5. Let cool and cut into either 8 bars or 12 squares.
8 bars = 106cal each
2.3g fat
7.8g carbs
17.5g protein
12 bars = 53 cal each
1.2g fat
2.9g carbs
8.7g protein
(this is based on my whey protein, all proteins vary-rice protein would be less cal but less protein)

I made these to take with me to Vegas today but I had to have one so I had a bar heated up and crumbled on top of 1/4 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt post workout (bicep & shoulders followed with stationary bike & ab trainer x which is a new app I downloaded to see how it was)

Day before Vegas

This morning I woke up knowing it was my rest day and man did I need it. My legs are so sore.
This morning I woke up and made myself an omelet made with 2 egg whites mixed with flax meal, I then sliced a banana to fill in, layered Greek yogurt on top, drizzled peanut butter and closed it. I was yummy and totally clean.
So all day I was picking out clothes for Vegas-dresses, bathing suits, heels and of course food! I packed protein for my post workouts, oats, nuts, stevia, raw rev bars, tea, and I'll be baking tomorrow! Probably choc protein bars, maybe choc protein muffins, or raw oat protein bars..hmm???

NewWorkout

So I've decided to kill my workouts even more and leave the gym when I can't possibly do another rep. How? Well I'm still working out different parts of my body different days and doing cardio post weights on non leg days. So my plan is to bust out 3 sets of a certain exercise with the weight heavy enough yet light enough for me to finish 10-12 reps. But in between each set I'm doin an active rest like box jumps or jump rope, jut something to keep my HR up, then continue on through all 3 sets. Done yet? Nope. So I do another set of 3 but this time I increase the weight and max out-push until you can't possibly do another lift. Rest for about a minute then continue on till all 3 are completed.
I have been doing this for a week now and man do I leave the gym knowing I have it my all. I know I worked myself pretty good when I'm sore the same day and even more sore when I crawl out of bed.
Yesterday was my leg day and I did that concept and finished in only an hour-that's all I needed because I pushed so hard and didn't dilly dally. Do your work! I came home and I noticed I had bruises on my shoulders. That's what happens when you lift heavy on the Smith Machine. I was squatin pretty heavily and it defiantly showed.
My post workout eats we're carbs! Need carbs for my leg tears! 2 egg whites scrambled with 1/4 cup rice, sweet potato with about a tbsp of my homemade almond butter with a tbsp of plain fage Greek yogurt smeared on top and a sprinkling of cinnamon.

What's a cheat meal?

A ONCE A WEEK MEAL!-NOT a everyday cheat! You have to have a balance with clean eating and 'non clean' eats. You've all heard to not resist temptation but you have to and you have to have strong will power because you can indulge in your temptations everyday.
Honestly, a while ago I cut cheat meals out all together and my body just stopped craving them. I know you're probably like what?! But really now if there is a slice of chocolate cake or a bowl of fruit in front of me that I had to choose, I would grab the fruit hands down.
Since I'm not competing in WBFF or figure comps, I don't have to cut ''non clean' eats out of my life (though it is a a dream of mine to compete)!
Last night I had my once a year indulgence at my local fair-a milk barn classic, real homemade chocolate shake. It's been a tradition for as long as I can remember and it's as yummy as always. That was my cheat meal of the week. I had it early enough I the evening that I used that energy I consumed to keep my body going the rest of the night and give my muscles something to eat or grow. My metabolism is so high, my body converts my calories into energy. That is the correct way to think about the calories you are consuming-energy to keep my body powering through and building muscle.
You will not gain weight or immediately add a roll if you are just having one cheat meal a day. Your body just sees it as normal calories but in a higher degree. When I have a cheat I usually walk it off or do an active rest such as shopping! ;) Use those extra cal and put them to good use.
I drank my shake while rockin out to music and meandering around the fair.
I want to show you the morning after abs:...see nothing

Review #2 of Raw Revolution & eats

So since I had to put a 8 hour workday in I grabbed a raw bar-cashew flavor. So I opened it and I didn't know if it was really hot outside or what but the outside of the bar seemed really oily; it could have just been cause there are so many nuts in the bar...idk. It was tasty and chewy. The ingre were cashews, sunflower seeds, dates, agave, flaxseed-all organic. These are really simple and I could almost recreated these and make them at home.
The benefit of working in a restaurant is having access to the food..well for me the goods like the fruit! This morning I packed cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, flax and raw oats then at work I cut up fresh strawberries and blueberries. It was delicious and refreshing for this 106 degree weather.
I've been on an omelet kick; I missed my egg whites apparently.
