Hammies & Bum on the agenda this Saturday morning.
The WOD was circuit style where I completed each twice and then each separate circuit was divided with 100 squat pulses. I did back squats, overhead squats, hack squats, single arm kb swings, kb burpee thrusts, hip thrusts, good mornings, leg press, single leg squats, abductor machine, lying leg curls, leg extensions, deadlifts, squat machine, pliƩ squats, GHD, wall sits...basically killing my legs and butt.
Plus I PR'd my squats-245!!! Holyness it was heavy! But I managed 8 reps. I also PR'd my deadlifts! All in all it was a killer WOD gym sesh.
You really don't know what you're capable of until you try. Push past the uncomfortableness.
Eats:
Choc protein EggWhite muffin

Body By Vi shake (given by a friend-I don't drink this stuff normally)
WW noodles with tomatoes, avocado, basil
NF Greek yogurt with casein, banana, coconut butter
I didn't eating today what I did since I was at work all day but I tried higher cal foods later.
So I leave for Las Vegas tomorrow! So excited! I packed protein bars, nuts, protein, oats, flax, tea, preworkout, BCAA, apples...ya I'm prepared. My hotel has a gym so I'll be hittin it up early in the morning.
I've been asked a lot about how will I eat there? Well as clean as I can and I may have a drink or two. I didn't take off Christmas vaca or splurge or cheat so I figured I'm ending this year with a few cheats.
I'm leaving at noon but I'm still going to the gym in the morning for back, bis, abs.

Merry Christmas!
Hope everyone had an enjoyable Christmas with your family! I had a full house so it was really nice.
Eats:
Greek yogurt w/ protein syrup, flax, chia seeds, banana, granola. 1 homemade biscuit & dab of gravy (my whole family grubbed on unclean biscuits and gravy while I ate mostly clean)
Raw veggie salad
Spaghetti with WW noodles, polenta.
Casein shake with cottage cheese.
As you can see I kept my Christmas eats clean! No sweets needed-I didn't have cravings, my protein suited me just fine! We did have fudge, cheesecake, cookies, etc but didn't have the urge.
My cheat meal was on Sunday with that fruit sundae parfait.
Tomorrow is leg day which was perfect that I loaded up on good carbs-my muscles will thank me in the morning!
Everyone entitled cheat days so don't feel guilty if you had a dessert; if you work hard and train hard, your body/metabolism will be revved up and kill those extra calories. Your bod needs a change once in a while.
Remember don't feel guilty.

No Excuses! Even on Christmas Eve!
I had a late night in San Francisco-shopped ate and ate again. First time eating real Filipino food; I had lots if protein and rice but it was tasty! Then for dinner I went to a really fancy restaurant where I had scallops and pumpkin latkes and then...a gingerbread apple and persimmon compote with vanilla bean ice cream, pear granita, and vanilla bean whipped cream, macadamia nuts and a gingerbread cookie. Nom nom! First cheat in about a few months lol I deserved a little Christmas indulgence.
I got to bed at like 1, woke up at 5, and at the gym by 545. My family planned on leaving to Moss Landing at 9 so I had to be there uber early. I had chest and back on the agenda-killed it and loved that I was alone in the weight room!
A older women came up to me while I was leaving and asked if I could train her because I am a machine lol awesome compliment! Then she went in to tell me about her son and asked if I had a bf, haha too funny!
Anyways hope all has a joyful, happy, fun, awesome, family Christmas!

Circuit Thursday
I wrote a killer WOD that i wasn't exactly ready for entering the gym Thursday morning. I punched it in the face but my bod felt like it was dragging.
I completed the 45min circuit, busted out 30mins if abs, and finished for 20mins on the row machine.
Eats:
Chocolate peppermint EggWhite protein muffin
cellucor PB Marshmallow protein shake
Oats mixed with Greek yogurt, 2 slices banana bread
Apple, veggies with hummus
Chicken & brussel sprouts
Chocolate Casein Protein Shake & cottage cheese mixed with cinnamon & a tab of PB.
So I have decided once I finish my jar of PB (only like 4 tbsp left) I am not going to purchase anymore and see how long I can go without it. I lost the urge to have it when I have it up for a week but I had 3 jars of nut butters under my bed. I won't have any left. I do have a bit if my homemade Vanilla cinnamon Sunflower Seed butter left though that needs robe gone by New Years. That won't be a problem haha.
I usually don't set New Years Resolutions or if I do I don't remember lol but I'll say that I mine-giving up nut butter...for a while.

New PR!
Today was a splendid day!
Got a new PR on my squat weight, grubbed on sashimi, saw The Hobbit (a date).
Leg day was all heavy-start heavy and keep increasing weight to complete max!!! And I mean MAX! I am now squatting 205!!! Yeahhhh That much closer to my 225 goal! My weight training belt is a lifesaver and a back saver! 100% worth the purchase! Ps get real leather, so much better!
Killed my WOD then hit some ab moves that involved oblique twists, KB oblique twists, hanging knee raises, hanging straight leg raises, spiders, decline med ball crutch on decline bench...and some others.
Eats:
Cocoa chocolate protein EggWhite muffin
Cellucor Cinnamon Swirl protein shake blended with a frozen banana
Nuked apple with Greek yogurt and slice if homemade banana bread
Banana
Sashimi, miso soup, tuna roll
Casein shake with unsweetened almond milk
I didn't eat much so this was a bad leg day high carb day-felt bloated after my sushi.
Ps The Hobbit is 3 hours long and I drank 3 cups of green tea and some water from gallon (which I brought inside the theatre lol my date loved it!) so basically I held my bladder for the whole dang long movie.
So I couldn't drink the whole time during the 3 hours so I am behind on my water consumption.

Homemade Sriracha Hummus
I love Sriracha & hummus and i usually add Siracha on top of my hummus when Im eating so i thought...hey why not make my own???
If this ever comes out to purchase in a container by Sabra or whoever, just know I created this recipe! haha
Siraracha Hummus:
1 can chickpeas (rinsed and drained)
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 bottle sriracha Hot Chili Sauce
salt and pepper
optional: 1 chopped jalepeno (i like myine uber hot so you can omit this or add but take the seeds out-this gives it a kick of flavor though)
1. Add all ingredients to blender-blender until really smooth. Scrap down the sides every once in a while so its evenly smooth.
2. Chill in fridge or eat right away ( I did!)
Enjoy with veggies, on a sammie, on your eggs/omelet, on rice....or however you like to eat hummus!

Baby got 'Back!'
Back, Bis, abs, and cardio this morning. By the time Saturday comes around my body feels have and sore all over and basically screaming for my rest day!
We changed our WODs to more circuit-y this week just to change it up which is nice and it really gets your muscles swole!
Today at the gym I was approached by several people asking about my workouts, how I train, what I eat, that I inspire & motivate them, that I look really good...etc. man nothing makes me feel so happy or satisfied. Hearing that I help, inspire, motivate anyone is the best gift to get! I love that intangible gift/feeling.
Anyways my eats:
Preworkout: protein EggWhite muffin
Intraworkout:Xtend
Postworkout: protein shake
Lunch: overnight protein oats, orange, strawberries.
Snack:chicken breast
Dinner:Greek yogurt w/granola, apple, PB
Snack: casein cottage cheese pudding
Tomorrow is my rest day and suppose to my cheat day but I doubt I will cheat cause why? I never feel deprived or have cravings for sweets. I know I'll be grubbin on sashimi but that is a clean meal so unless you are training for a comp, this is not a cheat (if its covered in that icky mayo saucey stuff).

Workin that Tushy!
Indeed I said tushy! Hams & tush day. I made my routine in circuits instead of supersets. Loved the change up cause my legs were screaming at me!
Did leg extension blowout at the end and hit 130 reps-burn baby burn! That lactic acid was built up alright!
I found I wasn't hungry much at all today with is bad considering I'm suppose to eat even more on leg days; I could only stand fruit since its light (I had 3 bananas lol) .
So basically don't do that-eat eat eat! I have a hard time force feeding.
Anyway on a random note, I made an 'ugly Christmas sweater' for a white elephant gift party. Hit up thrift stores I spent $2 on a really good thick sweater and $3 on the decor. Someone will live it!

Pain never felt so good
Squaterday (quads and calfs) were on the agenda for today-the day following my last day of 3rd semester of the nursing program!!! So I was pumped and felt freedom!
Yesterday free I completed my final, for a celebration I went for round 2 at the gym! Yep only I would go to the gym to celebrate hahaha
Anyways my leg routine was a killer and I concentrated in my muscles and how they felt during every single exercise, lift, rep etc. I listened to when my muscles were screaming in pain and then did one more rep after that pain.
To finish leg day, I jumped on the adductor machine for a blowout! I set the weight to exactly half my normal weight and kept going nonstop until I was about to cry! I hit 245 reps! Man it was hard just getting up from the machine after that!
I am constantly changing my routines, reps, pace, weights, basically everything every single day to keep my muscles guessing.

This is why I do what I do.

Bulking is not an 'Off Season!'
Last night was shoulders and arms! Two rounds-first is light weight high rep, second is high weight low rep. Man brutal WOD! Finished with abs-each circuit group down three times, no rest between sets or circuits! Burn baby burn! (P.s. the pic is my workout buddy)
Eats:
Egg whites Cocoa Banana oats
Larabar
Tuna with saricha sauce, apple
2 hard boiled egg whites, hummus with flax crackers, nonfat cappuccino
Tuna with saracha sauce
Casein mixed with Greek yogurt topped with PB and carob chips
Cottage cheese mixed with MGN protein
I was watching on YouTube a video about Mr. California and it was about eating. He talked about how important it is to eat A LOT if you want to build. He said if you have been eating a lot and not seeing the results you want, eat more! So after watching that, I went back to the kitchen for the cottage cheese. His motto "eat big to get big!" He said what you eat before your workout will determine if you have a good workout or not. He is huge so he eats 12 egg whites and 2 cups of oatmeal. But I don't eat that much but I'm upping my both my whites and oats in the morning! Staying lean while bulking though. Bulking is not an "off season!" Who wants an off season anyway?!? Not me!

Playing catch up
So been MIA since my vaca in Reno; don't worry I still worked out everyday at my hotels gym and ate clean...sorta. I hate clean on thanksgiving-lots of protein and veggies! I ate a buffet too! You can eat clean there just be smart about it! For dessert I had FroYo and chocolate covered strawberries. So just a little cheat there.
Yesterday was a bad day for me; I was out of it mentally and physically for some reason but I still killed chest and back. We busted out about 200 pull-ups!!! My hand was killed and busted open gnarly bad! Then I had class- I had a test too which I bombed-I honestly don't know who I woke up to yesterday but glad she is gone! I talked to my buddy and he made me feel better.
Today I woke up in BEAST MODE! Legs!m man I felt so good with the Olympic bar. i was pushing uber hard and loved it! I also wore my new Nike Free Run+3s. I missed my gym!
