So or been checking out a few different protein be recipes so I decided to revise a few and create my own using ingredients I have.
PB Choc Protein Bars:
3 egg whites
1/2 cup *homemade applesauce
6 packets NuNaturals Stevia
3 drops Vanilla NuNaturals Stevia
2 scoops chocolate protein powder
10 tbsp peanut flour
(any spices you want)
*to make applesauce, cut up apple, put in microwave with cinnamon and some water and cook for 2 mins. Let cool and blend, voila 100% natural no sugar added applesauce!
1. Mix wet, add dry, mid well.
2. Line with parchment (or grease) either a dish or you could make them into muffins.
3. Pour in.
4. Cook 15mins at 350 F.
5. Let cool and cut into either 8 bars or 12 squares.
8 bars = 106cal each
2.3g fat
7.8g carbs
17.5g protein
12 bars = 53 cal each
1.2g fat
2.9g carbs
8.7g protein
(this is based on my whey protein, all proteins vary-rice protein would be less cal but less protein)
I made these to take with me to Vegas today but I had to have one so I had a bar heated up and crumbled on top of 1/4 cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt post workout (bicep & shoulders followed with stationary bike & ab trainer x which is a new app I downloaded to see how it was)
