Green Pancakes

So following my leg session i couldnt decide to have protein pancakes or have a spinach omelet...so i compromised with myself and made both together.
Green Pancakes:
1/4 cup fresh or frozen spinach
1 egg white
1 tbsp raw oats
splash of almond milk
vanilla liquid stevia
(i also added but they're optional: green tea leaves, wheat grass powder)
1. blend. cook like a normal pancake. I topped mine with protein frosting (vanilla protein mixed with water).
*this makes one; i had this with a greek yogurt parfait so you can totally double it.
*also you can turn these savory by nixing the stevia and adding italian seasoning or something.

Parfait Heaven

So last night I made a parfait for dinner and it was so good I wanted another for breakfast! I change it up though last night I used chocolate protein and this morning used vanilla.
Overnight Oats Protein Parfait:
1/3 cup raw oats
1 tbsp each flax and chia seeds
2 tbsp nonfat vanilla yogurt
Greek yogurt
Nut butter
Berries
Granola
1 scoop vanilla protein
Almond milk
1. Mix 1-3 at night and store in fridge.
2. Make protein frosting by adding almond milk very slowly to protein, stirring constantly until you get to right consistency.
3. Stir oats and add a dash of almond milk to loosen it up.
4. Start layering. I did Greek yogurt, overnight oats, peanut butter, berries, protein frosting, granola. I don't make my layers very thick so you can choose to have thick or thin layers.
I like thin because you can get all the layers on one bite and not have to mix up your pretty parfait to get to everything.
Enjoy!
*last night I did the same thing but made chocolate protein frosting.

New Workout Gear!!!

Oh yes I was busy yesterday...
After the gym I went by F21 and got some tanks.
I had a field day messing around with which quote should go on which top.
And after completing all these I jut kept going and cut up an old T but I'll post that one later; let's just say that one shows a little more me :)

Go harder and heavier!!!

Yesterday was chest and tri day followed with the stairmaster...the dread of the gym. Well it doesnt have to be if youre keeping yourself occupied by changing up your steps. Climb forward, climb backward, climb sideways (both legs), climb wide, climb narrow, climb on your toes (in, out, straight)...oh the possibilities!!! Is it sad that im always excited about training... :)
By the way, the hot guy was there...exchanged looks and smiles and a "Good Morning" and a "are you using that bench" "oh no go ahead" Why am i so lame???
Last nights dinner was basically one of my favorites that i could eat every single day-100% clean and yummy! Fish, garden fresh veggies, and brown rice..yup thats it. I would chose this over a slice of pizza and cake anyday.
So today was leg day and was so excited! I had my usual oatmeal smoothie and was out of the house by 715. I pushed so hard and lifted so heavy my legs were shaking! How do you know you cant go heavier unless you try? I increased my weights on all my moves. (ps i need new ear buds, the wires are showing!)

I had my amazing protein shake; im not kidding when i say i make the best! it tastes exactly like a wendys frosty and has the consistancy of it too! the secret? after you blend it, stick it in the freezer for about 40mins. I then pack it in a cooler while im workin out and it is so thick and creamy i wish it wouldnt end. I am so excited for it everytime i finish a workout.
I had to work today so i packed my lunch which was overnight oats in a giant peanut butter jar. It consisted of oats, almond milk, greek yogurt, chia seeds, flaxseed, vanilla stevia, the last of the pnut butter and cinnamon. When i got to work i added granola for a crunchyness and blueberries and strawberries. My coworkers were staring at me but it was sure tasty!

No more vaca's, only hard work and clean eats

Since I'm have went on all my vacations for the summer (I think lol), I'm ready to kick my bods but! I have my goals and I know the are reachable but can only be accomplished by pushing myself, putting in time and work, and eating clean.
So my eats are back to simple and clean. I'm trying to have less and less of protein powder and trying to have real protein based foods instead.
Lots of egg whites, turkey wraps, Greek yogurt ice cream, tuna and chicken. Of course veggies, veggies, veggies with some fruit.
I'm sticking to high carb days on leg days and lower on ab and arm days. I'm keeping my healthy fats to 2tbsp s a day and none after working out because it slows the protein digestion which you do not want because you want the protein to get to your muscles as fast as possible so they can build grow and recover.

WHAT IS YOUR GOAL?!?

Yogi Tea Review

So since I've been gone a while, it's taken me a while to get this review. Right when I got back I test all of these bad boys. I love that on each box they include a yoga pose to either help calm, stimulate blood flow, provide balance and even promote energy. The ingredients are all natural and most are organic. Each box contains 16 individually packed tea bags. On each bag they have affirmations printed on the tag and many of them make you smile and think "yes!" (ex: 'Every Promise is a Present in Advance.')
Green Tea Blueberry Slim Life- they use the combination of green tea and fruit extracts to support stamina. They say to drink a cup a day to give you energy to keep up your active lifestyle. The fragrance and flavor of blueberry is amazing; it is subtle and does not have the fake flavor of fruit.
Skin Detox-Rose and hibiscus is used to soothe skin and bring a floral scent, green tea rejuvenates, burdock and yellow dock and red clover promote cleansing of the liver. The combo is to cleanse your insides which reduces impurities. The smell and flavor is fruity with hints of rose, pomegranate and orange.
Bedtime-uses chamomile to promote relaxation, calmness, and sleep. St.johns Wart improved mood, passion flapper reduces anxiety and valerian helps calm nervousness. This tea a little spicy with the cinnamon, licorice, and cardamom yet it has a sweetness to it.
Detox-burdock and dandelion support the liver, juniper berry promotes kidney function, ginger&black pepper&long pepper combo supports blood flow. These together help the body cleanse itself by aiding the liver and kidneys. This tea flavor is indeed a spicy one which I would recommend having eru in the morning before food or in the evening at bedtime since there is no caffeine.
Vanilla Spice Perfect Energy-green tea and black tea invigorate the body, amino acid L-Theanine promotes mental focus, Gota kola leaf and ashwagandha balance, vanilla bean sweetens up the flavor and the fragrance makes you want to stick your nose in your cup. These together focus the mind and energize the body. I've had it plain but also added a little bit of almond milk & vanilla NuNaturals liquid stevia & sprinkle of cinnamon and it was so yummy. (if you had a frothier you could froth your milk and make a latte with it).
Green Tea Kombucha-green tea and Kombucha supports immune system and supplies antioxidants, spearmint helps with digestion, lemongrass and plum gives this tea a minty yet fruity flavor. I can really smell and taste the spearmint which I love and usually drink with my meals.
My favorite:?:?:Green Tea Blueberry - I can have it hot but also have it iced which is totally refreshing considering its summer!
I seriously keep at least two with me at all times because you never know when you need a little Yogi.
Thank You so much Yogi Tea for these and I look forward to trying lots more of your flavors!

Viva Las Vegas

So my trip to Vegas was a Bachelor party so I was with a bunch of guys for 3 nights and 4 days and let me tell you it was an experience. You don't know men until you ray with a group of men in Vegas. We had the penthouse suite in Vegas an the view was incredible!
It was really simple to maintain healthy eating and working on my fitness. I had salmon for two dinners and chicken tacos another. For breakfasts I went to the yogurt and fruit bar and the egg station at the buffet, and Greek yogurt parfaits the other days.
What saved me was baking protein bra because I had them pre gym and pre. runs. They were a lifesaver along withy nuts.
So the first day I had time to workout at home before my flight so that saved me. Since I didn't sleep that night cause come on its Vegas...I hit Mandalay bays gym where I did 30mins HIIT and 30mins of this elliptical stairmaster thing at 5am! Yup no sleep and right to the gym. Then we made our way down to their man made beach where they have waves so there was another workout. Next day I save my workout till the end of the night at 8pm where I ran the whole strip! 8miles, stairs and all, weaving through all those pple! Best experience ever, no joke make it a bucket list! You seriously get more pple string and checking you out than ever but also pple were very encouraging and yelling me on and pple would step off to the side to let me go by. It was pretty hot, I was dripping! It took me an hour exactly to finish.
I got some new Nikes as well which I used to run the strip and I can say I was sprinting and jumping and hopping and weaving and these babies were so comfy! I love them!
I'm leaving guilt free and satisfied with myself-I didn't use excuses even in Vegas!
